Payton Higgins Memorial "Love of the Game" Scholarship 2023-2024
One $1,000 scholarship and two $500 scholarships will be awarded in 2024.
This scholarship is intended to support a local athlete who is looking to continue his/her career as a student athlete. We want to support an athlete who is chasing their dream despite financial limitations.
Tongan Heritage Scholarship
The National Tongan American Society is a non-profit organization that promotes educational and leadership opportunities for the Tongan People. We are offering a scholarship for Tongan high school graduates or those of Tongan descent who need assistance to attend colleges and universities.

Metallurgical Engineering scholarship:
Scholarships range from $1,000 to $10,000 and are merit and need-based.
Deadline: May 15th, 2024
Eligibility: Students interested in metallurgical engineering with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

SUU Scholarship:
The TBird Promise Scholarship is still open for students. This is an 8 semester scholarships that stacks on top of their academic scholarship.
Due to FAFSA delays, the Southern Utah University President has decided to extend our scholarship deadline. Students can still apply and automatically be considered for our academic scholarships! As always, they can apply for FREE here: APPLY
Technical Education Scholarship (Southwest Tech):
The Utah Technical Education scholarship is for individuals who intend to enroll in a high-wage/high-demand program at a Utah technical college. You will need to upload your FAFSA Confirmation in this application. If a student is awarded a Utah Technical Education scholarship, funds may be used for tuition, fees, and books for the program of interest. Dixie Power Youth Leadership Challenge - Scholarship Opportunity:
Each year Dixie Power participates in the URECA Youth Leadership Challenge which is open to Juniors in High School. Dixie Power gives out $10,000 in scholarships at the end of the Youth Leadership Challenge - students that attend will have the opportunity to receive a scholarship, and two of our students will be selected to attend the Youth Tour in Washington DC. The students must be a Dixie Power member to apply. We started taking applications on March 1st, and the deadline to apply is March 31st.

Directors' Memorial Scholarship:
They will be awarding FIFTEEN (15) academic scholarships, each valued at $3,000, to members who are graduating high school seniors, current college students, and returning students pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree. Applications will be accepted online beginning February 1, 2024 until Monday, April 15, 2024 at 2 AM ET/ 1 AM CT/ 12 AM MT. Scholarship recipients are selected according to need, academic performance, a video or written essay, and letter of recommendation. The 15 eligible scholarship recipients will be announced in June.

Women's Cyber Security Scholarships:

To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:

American Chemical Society Scholars Program:

The Elks National Foundation (ENF) has kicked off the 2024 scholarship year. Here are the details!
Most Valuable Student (MVS) Contest:
The 2024 MVS application is now open. Applications can be found online at enf.elks.org/MVS. The application deadline is November 13, 2023.
The Elks National Foundation (ENF) awards 500 four-year scholarships based on academics, leadership, and financial need. National awards range from $1,000 per year to $7,500 per year. The national awards will be announced in April 2024, along with any local winners.
MVS scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year degree on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours), at a U.S. college or university next school year. Some important applicant details include:
Current high school seniors (or equivalent) who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.
Applicants do not have to be related to a member of the Elks.
Male and female students compete separately.
Applicants select from a list of the Lodges closest to their home address zip code. Please have your students choose Cedar City Lodge number 1556 as their sponsoring Lodge. Complete details can be found at

Legacy Awards -The Legacy Awards program begins on September 1, 2023. Legacy Awards
provide $4,000 scholarships for children and grandchildren of dues-paying Elk members. The ENF offers a total of 350 national awards. The application deadline is February 5, 2024. Please visit enf .elks.org/Leg for more details and the application link.
Local Tech Scholarship -Any student wishing to participate in a technical program may apply for this scholarship. I have supplied one copy of the application for you to copy for interested students. Applications need to be turned in at the Cedar City Elks Lodge no later than February 1st 2024.

Scholarship Criteria
Qualified Utah Students may apply for a $1,000 scholarship as a 2022 high school graduate from a Utah public, privat or charter high school OR a continuing student attending a two- or four-year public or private not-for-profit institution of higher education in the state of Utah to support the completion of their degree.
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
Self identify as African American/Black
Have a grade point average of at least 2.5 (based on a 4.0 scale)
be enrolled in a full-time program(minimum 12 credit hours) at an accredited Utah-based college, university, or an institution of equivalent accreditation for the 2022-2023 academic year
Utah Farm Workers Scholarship
The National Farmworker Jobs Program is available to farmworkers and their dependents and offers FREE Education, Career Development Training, Career Advancement Training, and Support Services for participants.
Our Case Managers work with participants to prepare them for career advancement including job readiness training, resume and cover letter preparation, interview skills, and job searching skills. Futures Through Training has operated this program since 1992 and is adept at guiding participants through the process of attaining skills and looking for work.
Education support can range from basic skills tutoring, ESL classes, and GED classes, to assist with college tuition, books, and supplies. If formal education is not what they are currently pursuing, we also support training to attain skills and credentials in areas such as Commercial Truck Driving, Manufacturing skills, Construction skills, Medical Assistance credentials, and other vocational skills.
To qualify for the program, a participant must be an agriculture worker or a dependent, be low income, have the legal right to work in the United States, and have worked in agriculture within the last two years.

Utah Jiffy Lube “What Drives You?” Scholarship
The Utah Jiffy Lube “What Drives You?” Scholarship program is offering
two $6,500 scholarship awards and six $1,500 scholarship awards to 8 local high school students – students simply have to write about “What Drives You?” – no grade point or test score requirements!

Program Overview:
Eight finalists will be selected from the 500 word “What Drives You?” essays submitted. (there are two categories: Already licensed teen drivers & driver’s ed students) . Each finalist will be guaranteed a minimum $1,500 award if they create and submit a 1-2 minute video that expands on their essay in their own candid words, visuals, etc. The overall $6,500 scholarship winner, in each category, will be chosen from these videos. Last year’s scholarship winners and the videos they submitted are posted on our site!

Anxiety Scholarship
We’re an adolescent mental health facility specializing in anxiety and depression. We teach resilience skills to create stronger families and stronger futures.
Last year we had great success with the Anxiety Scholarship program. It’s a $1000 video contest where high school seniors can submit a video about how anxiety holds them back in life.
We had about 24 applicants last year. With the CDC reporting that over 32% of kids today have anxiety, we’re offering the scholarship again hopefully to reach more of Utah’s students and promote mental health. Here are the website and poster.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF):

Every year, HSF selects approximately 10,000 outstanding students as HSF Scholars from a broad and talented pool of applicants.
HSF Scholars have access to a full range of invaluable Scholar Support Services, including career services, mentorship, leadership development, knowledge building, and wellness training.
Career services include access to internships and job opportunities with HSF corporate partners.
HSF Scholars are eligible to apply for all Scholar Conferences, including the STEM Summit, Finance Conference, Media and Entertainment Summit, Entrepreneurship Summit, Healthcare Summit, and Alumni Symposium.

American Indian Graduate Center
American Indian Graduate Center provides up to $30,000 in scholarships per student per year and supports Native students pursuing undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees in the United States. It offers more than 20 scholarship opportunities, plus a comprehensive array of academic and support services for students to utilize throughout their entire academic journey. From completing financial aid applications to creating a study plan to thriving on campus, students can rely on American Indian Graduate Center as a guide every step of the way.

Based in Washington, D.C., APIA Scholars is the nation’s largest 501(c)(3) nonprofit provider of college scholarships for Asian and Pacific Islander American (APIA) students.
