About The Program

Iron Online was created with the realization that some students and families need an alternative to in-classroom learning, with more flexibility, but the same core education that creates great individuals.

Our goal is to deliver a quality education with real teacher interaction, tailored learning experiences, and the best possible online education options for our students.

Students (Grades K-6) considering online instruction are encouraged to enroll in K-6 Iron Online School. Students will work online with support from an Iron District teacher and an Outreach Coach during school hours. K-6 Iron Online covers the same grade-level standards as traditional campus schools. Students follow personalized learning paths to help them make sufficient academic progress. Reading and math interventions are provided for students who need extra help to progress toward achieving grade-level proficiency.

Attendance is based on participation in daily virtual synchronous instruction. Parents will need to provide supervision and guidance from home planning on around 3-5 hours per day of online lessons and schoolwork. If you would like to enroll your student in Iron K-6 Online, Click Here to Register.   Login information will be sent through email in 1-2 days following enrollment.

Home-School

For those interested in online Home-School programs we have partnered with providers including options such as: My Tech High (K-12) or Harmony Education (K-11). These are fully self-contained online programs with teachers from My Tech High and Harmony Education supporting students as they progress. Students will be enrolled under Southwest Education Academy (SEA) which is an Iron County School, however parents will have the opportunity to select the online curriculum best suited for their student. Secondary students who would like to take up to two classes in their boundary school will have that option. NCAA and Military options need to be considered. Many of these options are Pass/Fail and we recommend discussing your options with these providers directly via their websites below.
